Hey, i know you will say that there have been an Honor Honor 20 Lite smartphone before, yes there are, you are right. The standard Honor 20 Lite was introduced back in April this year but Honor have launched a rebranded version of it called the Honor 20 Lite (Youth Edition). This version of Honor 20 Lite brings a lot of improvement, ranging from the drop-shaped notch and the 6.3-inch AMOLED screen that integrates the fingerprint sensor inside.
On the inside, the Honor 20 Lite (Youth Edition) has a Kirin 710F SoC with up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. The smartphone runs on EMUI 9.1 out of the box which is based on Android Pie, it packs a 4,000 mAh battery with 20W fast charging support and it comes in three colors – Black, Green, and a Blue-Pink gradient.
You might ask, how does it differs from the previous released Honor 20 series smartphone, ok, let me tell you. This one now uses an AMOLED screen unlike its predecessor which uses an LCD screen, it now has a drop-notch screen compared to its predecessors with perforated screen. This Honor 20 Lite (Youth Edition) has a larger 6.3 inch Full HD+ display.
The display is an “always-on-display” which displays time and other details, it now has an under-display fingerprint reader unlike the other Honor 20 series smartphone which utilises a rear mounted fingerprint reader. There is a triple rear cameras which consists of a 48-megapixel main sensor with an aperture of f/1.8, a wide-angle of 8MP with an angle of 120 degrees and an additional 2MP lens for depth measurements.
The front camera is in the notch like i told you guys before, it’s a 16mp camera that features beauty mode to which we are accustomed and also bokeh mode. Other specs and features of this device remains the same as the standard Honor 20 Lite.
The smartphone is priced at CNY1,399 ($200/€180) for the 4GB/64GB variant, CNY1,499 ($210/€190) for the 6GB/64GB model, and CNY1,699 ($240/€215) for the 6GB/128GB version. There’s also a fourth model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, which will set you back by CNY1,899 ($270/€240).
The Honor 20 Lite (Youth Edition) will go on sale in China from October 25 through various online retailers.
