Xiaomi has officially launched its latest budget smartphone, the Redmi Note 12R Pro, in China. The device boasts impressive specifications for its price point, making it an attractive option for consumers looking for a budget-friendly device.
The Redmi Note 12R Pro comes with a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 1200 nits peak brightness. It is powered by an Octa Core Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 6nm Mobile Platform with Adreno GPU and comes with 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage.
The phone runs on Android 13 with MIUI 14 and has a dual-SIM setup with support for 5G SA/NSA and Dual 4G VoLTE. It also has Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C for connectivity.
In terms of camera, the Redmi Note 12R Pro comes with a 48MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. It also has a 16MP front camera inside the punch-hole, which is an upgrade from the 8MP front camera in the Redmi Note 12 5G. Other features of the Redmi Note 12R Pro include a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support, a 3.5mm audio jack, and dust and splash resistance with an IP53 rating. The phone is available in Black, White, and Gold colors and is priced at 1999 yuan or $281 for the single 12GB + 256GB version.
