The Note 12-series were announced back in the month of May, but all we saw were 4G devices all through. Now, Infinix has confirmed via the company’s Twitter handle that the 5G version of the Note 12-series will go official in India on the 8th of July.

Recall that there are currently five (5) smartphones in the Infinix Note 12-series. These includes; the Note 12i, Note 12 G88, Note 12 G96, Note 12 Turbo and the Infinix Note 12 VIP, all of which are powered by MediaTek Helio 4G CPUs.

Unlike the 4G versions, the upcoming Note 12 5G will be available in two variations; the standard Note 12 5G and a Note 12 Pro 5G. These two might get Dimensity 700 or Dimensity 810 CPU.

There were rumors last month that Infinix might be introducing a model of the Note 12 with Helio G99 CPU. For now, we can not certainly tell if such smartphone is in the works. But even if it is, it is surely different from the upcoming 5G models, since Helio G99 is still a 4G gaming CPU.

As for the purported July 8th Note 12 5G, some specifications to expect includes a 6.7-inches AMOLED screen with a dewdrop notch on the head, something similar to the Note 12 G96. The device will also mount a 108-megapixel main camera on the rear.

Outward appearance of the phone will not be far from the current Note 12 models. Meanwhile, we’ll uncover details about the pricing and other internals specs on the 8th of July, by 12 noon. The online launch event will take place via Indian Flipkart.
