Infinix Note 7 of 2020 vs Note 6 of 2019; what is new?

The aim of this post is to give you a quick and clear difference between the latest Infinix Note 7 and the Note 6 of last year. The beginning part of the post will focus on the similarities between the two devices, and at the end of the post, we’ll look at their key differences.

Similarities between the Infinix Note 7 and the Note 6

While most similarities between the Note 7 and Note 6 are basic in nature, the only two point you might want to remember is the fact that both phones has a single 16-megapixel front facing camera, and yes, both still have the older USB 2.0 interface.

Infinix Note 7 vs Note 6 comparison summary

So from the table above, what are some of the things that has changed?

Display: This is one of the major difference between the Note 7 and the Note 6. The 7 has a larger 6.95-inch IPS display with punch hole notch and a 720 x 1640 pixels, as against the notch-less 6.1-inch 1080 x 2160 AMOLED screen on the older Note 6.

So while the Note 7 has a bigger screen, the Note 6 has a better one. 720p on a tablet-size screen is a big joke, besides, the Note 6 has AMOLED panel, which is still better than IPS screen, it has X-Pen as well

Processing Prowess: Hands down, the Note 7 is the clear winner here. Why? Because the Mediatek Helio G70 is better than the Helio P35. Although both CPUs are octa-core, and some could even think the Helio P35 is clocked at 2.3GHz while Helio G70 is at just 2.0GHz. Well, the G70 is based on ARM Cortex-A75, while the P35 is based on Cortex-A53.

And since the Note 7 is a gaming smartphone, it definitely has better Graphic Processor than the Note 6; Mali-G52 MC2 against PowerVR GE8320.

Camera: The Note 7 rock four sensors a the back, a combination of 48 + 2 + 2 + 2 MP, while the Note 6 could not go above 16-megapixel, pegged with two other 8 MP and 2 MP auxiliary sensors.

Battery and OS: Note 7 has Android 10 based on XOS v6 Dolphin, while the Note 6 has Android 9 (Pie). There is a 5000mAh battery on the 7, which is about a 1000mAh higher than it predecessor, and the battery even support 18W fast charger.

The rear fingerprint scanner on the 6 has also moved to the right hand-side of the Note 7, and finally, the Note 7 come with dual speakers to appeal more to gamers and audio lovers.
