Lava has launched a new budget smartphone in India dubbed the Lava Yuva 2 Pro. The device which is the direct successor to the initial Yuva Pro boasts some decent features considering its price point. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G37 chipset, has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, expandable via a memory card up to 256GB.
The Lava Yuva 2 Pro features a 6.5-inch S-IPS screen, with a resolution of 720×1600 (270 ppi). Although the chipset theoretically supports a slightly increased screen refresh rate of up to 90 Hz, it seems Lava has not activated this feature on this device.
However, the smartphone’s battery life is quite impressive, as it is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery, although there is no fast charging support.
In terms of cameras, the Lava Yuva 2 Pro boasts multiple rear cameras, with a 13 MP primary camera and two additional 0.3 MP cameras. There is also a 5 MP front-facing camera for selfies.
The smartphone includes features such as dual-band Wi-Fi, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Type-C, and a standard audio output. However, it does not have an NFC module.
