Meizu has launched the Meizu 16T today, it’s a Gaming centric device that is powered by Snapdragon 855 SoC. This smartphone made it the 3rd flagship phone Meizu is releasing this year, they released the Meizu 16s in April and in August, Meizu 16s Pro arrived. The Meizu 16s is powered by the Snapdragon 855 SoC where as the Meizu 16s Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 855+.
However this newly launched Meizu 16T is powered by Snapdragon 855 SoC, it also comes with a larger display and a bigger battery unlike it’s predecessor and also with a relatively low price of 1,999 Yuan (~$282). The Meizu 16T comes in three variants and their specific prices are stated below:
- 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage – 1,999 Yuan (~$282)
- 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage – 2,299 Yuan (~$324)
- 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage – 2,499 Yuan (~$353)
- Color variants: Whale Blue, Daylight Orange and Lake Green.
For specs, it has a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display, it’s a Full HD+ display which means it has a resolution of 1080 by 2232 pixels, this device is pretty tall, it’s an 18:5:9 aspect ratio device which has a PPI Density of 382, the display also has a 430 nits brightness.
Under the hood, it is powered by Snapdragon 855 Chip which has an Octa core processor clocked at 2.84GHz, it runs on Android 9 pie with Flyme 8 slapped on top of it, it has Adreno 640 for graphics or gaming. The processor is also paired with 128GB 6GB RAM, 128GB 8GB RAM, 256GB 8GB RAM and sadly, you can’t extend the storage.
In terms of camera, this device spot a triple rear cameras which includes the 12mp camera with f/1.9 aperture accompanied by a led flash, the other camera is an Ultra wide angle camera which is an 8mp camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 5mp lens with f/1.9 aperture, on the front, it has a 16mp selfie shooter with f/2.2 aperture, both the front and back camera records video in 1080p at 30fps.
The smartphone will be offered in three colour options which include Orange, Blue and Green. It has an in-display fingerprint scanner and what is keeping the light on is a 4,500mAh Li-Po battery which supports 18W fast charging.
