Xiaomi made a name for itself few weeks ago when the company unveiled the Mi Mix Alpha, a concept smart phone with almost 200% screen-to-body ratio, first of it kind in the entire Android or rather, smart phone ecosystem. Aside the amazing screen-to-body ratio, the Mi Alpha also came with a whooping 108-megapixel main camera, which also, was first of it kind in the smartphone industry.
Unfortunately, as exciting as the Mi Mix Alpha sounds, it a concept device, and that means only a limited unit of the device will be produced. Even the few that will produced will not be available for purchase until December 2019, and when it becomes available, it certainly gonna be very expensive.
But let just face the facts; the key specs that majority of folks would like in the Alpha, is the 108-megapixel sensor, at least, that is what interests us the most, and probably, yourself. Interestingly, Xiaomi will be carrying the same 108MP to a new variant of Mi device; duped the Mi CC9 Pro. The company has even officially confirmed that the CC9 Pro will be launched on the 5th of November, 2019, and has also shared some sample images shot on the same.
The image above was shot on the Mi CC9 Pro. It was in it full resolution, but had to crop it, just not to put too much load on my server. Nothing really looks special right? OK, now look at the second image. Xiaomi CEO claims that the second image is 3.4% of the original shot. Noticed the cars parked on the Bridge in the zoomed version? There were practically not noticeable in the first image.
In the second image below, Xiaomi cropped 0.8% of the image, but the Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro did not just maintain sharp and accurate details on the subject’s right eyes, but was also able to reveal few details in the objects eyeballs, pictured in the proceeding cropped image.
The second image shows the window in the eyes of the subject, sky and clouds outside the window, and there was a person by the window, as if looking out the window, and before him, there the photographer was also. This is almost similar result with the two images below.
The Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro will have 5X optical zoom, other source has also claimed that the phone could support 10x hybrid zoom. The other four camera sensors could includes a wide-angle lens, a telephoto lens, a ToF sensor and a macro lens sensor. Other specification of the device, should include a 6.39-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, similar to the standard Mi CC9, Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G CPU, 4500mAh battery with 30W fast charging.
