Infinix, the Hong Kong-based smartphone manufacturer, is set to launch its next-generation entry-level Hot series in India on March 27, 2023. One of the models, the Infinix Hot 30i, has recently appeared on the Google Play Console, indicating a significant performance boost from its predecessor, the Hot 20i.
The Infinix Hot 30i is rumored to be powered by Unisoc T606, a 12nm chip with 2 Cortex-A75 and 6 Cortex-A55 cores, and Mali-G57 MP1 GPU, replacing the Helio G25 on the previous Hot 20i. Although it may not be a speed demon, the increase in performance is expected to be noticeable.
The device is expected to come with 4GB of RAM and run full Android 12, with rumors suggesting that some configurations could offer up to 8GB of physical RAM and another 8GB of virtual RAM, along with 128GB of storage capacity.
Other rumored features include a 50MP main camera, an improvement from the 13MP on the Hot 20i, a 6,000mAh battery, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. The display resolution remains at HD+ resolution, specifically, 720 x 1,612px.
The Infinix Hot 30i may also come in several new colorways, including blue, black, and white, with a “glass-like” finish and a Marigold (orange) version with a leather-like texture. Along with the Hot 30i, there are expected to be two additional models: the Hot 30 and Hot Play.
Overall, the Infinix Hot series has been a popular choice among budget-conscious consumers, and the new Hot 30 series is expected to offer even more value. It remains to be seen how the Infinix Hot 30i will perform in real-world use, but if the rumors are true, it could be a solid choice for those in the market for an affordable smartphone with decent performance and features.
