Following the launch of the Cat S75, Bullitt Group, has also partnered with Motorola Mobility to announce the Defy 2, a sturdy smartphone that is designed to withstand the toughest of conditions, while offering satellite connectivity as well as 5G network support to it users. It also brings the Defy satellite link, a Bluetooth modem that provides satellite connectivity to any smartphone.
Motorola Defy 2 5G smartphone
The Defy 2 is a rugged device that can survive drops and falls. It has been subjected to multiple drop tests, and has also passed various durability tests such as Mil-Spec 810H and IP68 and IP69K ratings. It is also dust, sand, dirt, and waterproof.
The device is hygienic and can be easily cleaned and sanitized with soap and water or alcohol wipes. All external surfaces are made with materials that contain antimicrobial, antibacterial additives, thanks to Bullitt’s Hygiene+ technology.
It is slim, pocketable, and comes with a 6.6” FHD+ display, powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 930 octa-core 2.2GHz processor with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage. The device also includes a large 5000mAh battery, which supports 15W fast-charging and Qi wireless charging.
The Motorola Defy 2 has a triple camera array at the rear, consisting of a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor, while an 8MP front-facing camera takes care of selfies. The device runs on Android 12 and will receive two OS updates, along with 5 years of security patches.

The Motorola Defy 2 will be available from Q2 2023 from selected operators across North America, Latin America, and Canada, priced from US$599, which includes 12 months of SOS Assist.
Motorola Defy Satellite Link
In addition to the Motorola Defy 2, Bullitt Group and Motorola Mobility have also launched the Motorola Defy Satellite Link, which is a Bluetooth device that provides satellite connectivity to any smartphone.
Defy Satellite Link Availability and price
The device will be available from April 2023 across international retailers, priced from US$99. A bundle with 12 months subscription to the Essentials Messaging Service Plan (up to 30 two-way messages per month and SOS Assist) will start at US$149.
