The Nokia 5.3 announced back in March of 2020 have just gotten an update. The new comer dubbed Nokia 5.4 is taking over the batten from the older 5.3 smartphone, but it is somewhat hard to tell if the new release is an upgraded release, or a downgrade. For starters, display and CPU wise isn’t looking much of an upgrade as compared to the OS and camera specs.
The new offer from HMD Global comes in a 6.39-inch HD+ display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Like the predecessor, the Nokia 5.4 have a punch-hole, which houses a 16MP selfie camera. On the inside, the 5.4 relies of the entry-level Snapdragon 662 SoC from Qualcomm, integrated with Adreno 610 GPU, 4/6GB RAM and 64/128GB internal storage. OS is till Google Android 10 but with a promises Android 11 and 12 upgrade.
As for the optics, four snappers are used at the back, just like the 5.3, but the main driver is a 48-megapixel lens, instead of the 13-megapxiel sensor used on the 5.3. The camera has 60fps video recording, OZO spatial audio and wind noise cancellation for when recording videos. Same 4000mAh battery with 10W charger is imported from the older 5.3.
