Note 12 VIP announced as the first Infinix smartphone with 120W fast charger

Infinix have just announced the Note 12 VIP, a model in the Note 12-series with a whooping 120W fast charger. The device is the company’s first Note device with 108-megapixel primary camera. It is the highest variant in the Note 12-series so far, and should not be confused with the Helio G85, Helio G88 or even the Note 12 Helio G96 model.

The Note 12 VIP is fitted with a 6.7-iniches AMOLED screen with 1080 x 2400 pixels. Infinix said the device is built from an aerospace-grade glass fiber, all harmonized in a rather thin, but tough 7.89mm body. It mimics iPhone’s flat edges and what looks like a matt finish plastic rear.

Aside the built quality, another highlight of the Note 12 VIP is the fast charging technology. It is maxed at 120W, and thankfully, the charging brick is in the box, and can push the 4500mAh battery on the Note 12 VIP from 0 to 100% within 17 minutes. Infinix is guaranteeing up to 800 charge cycles, thanks to the built-in 18 thermal sensors that monitor the device’s temperature in real-time to ensure safe charging always.

Key features of Infinix Note 12 VIP

Coming to the camera department, this is the first Infinix Note device with a 108-megapixel primary camera. The wide sensor has f/1.75 aperture, and it is backed by four LED flash. You are also getting a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a third 2-megapixel depth sensor with F/2.2 and F/2.4 apertures respectively.

The brain power on the Note 12 VIP comes from MediaTek Helio G96 octa-core CPU. The SoC is backed by Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, along with 8GB expandable RAM, and a 128-Gigs of built-in storage.

The Helio G96 SoC is a gaming chipset, and Infinix have added dual DTS speakers and dual axis linear motor for a better sound and tactic media feedback. There is also 9-layers of graphene cooling system, offering up to 15℃ reduction in core temperature.

Color option on the Note 12 VIP includes Cayenne Grey and Force Black. The phone is powered by Google Android 12 with XOS 10.6 out of the box. The phones asking price is around $299, and since it is a global model, it might be available for purchase on Aliexpress before this week is out.
