OPPO K9 5G renders unleashed before launch on the 6th of May

Oppo has just today confirmed the company will be releasing the Oppo K9 5G smartphone in China. This release is scheduled to be done on the 6th of May next month. These China tech giants have also released new teasers and render on the specifications and features of the upcoming smartphone. 

The Oppo K9 5G will be a successor to the Oppo K7 5G smartphone, which was released last year. The Oppo K9 5G has appeared on Chinese retailers ahead of launch. These sites include JD.com and Tmall for pre-orders. 

The Oppo has also just recently received its TENAA certification from china. There have been speculations that the certified smartphone with model number PEXM00 could be debuting as the Oppo K9 5G.  

Its TENAA certification listing has revealed some features of the upcoming Oppo smartphone. The TENAA revealed that it will be sporting a 6.43-inch AMOLED FHD+ screen.  

A few days back, there was no sign of any fingerprint sensor for the Oppo K9 5G on the TENAA certification website. But Oppo has revealed that the smartphone will also have an in-screen fingerprint scanner. However, it hasn’t been clear if the Oppo will have support for a higher refresh rate. 

The smartphone teasers released by Oppo reveal that it will have a triple-camera setup at the rear. They also announced that it will have a 2,100mAh dual-cell battery, which will offer up to 65W rapid charging. Oppo claims that this device can work up to 2 hours with just 5 minutes of charging. 

Under the hood of the phone, it is said to be fueled by a 2.8GHz chipset, which could be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 768G mobile platform. The retailer listings showed that the Oppo K9 5G will be available in variants like 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. The renders show that the device will be available in black and gradient blue colors. 

Although the specific features of the Oppo K9 5G are unknown, it is expected to arrive with a front-facing camera of 32-megapixel. The camera array found on the device’s backside has a 64-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel secondary shooter, a 2-megapixel lens, and an LED flash. The Oppo K9 5G measures 159.1 x 73.4 x 7.9mm and weighs 172 grams.  

Oppo has also confirmed that it will be announcing its Oppo Enco Air TWS and a new Oppo Band along with the K9 5G on the 6th of May. The pricing and availability of the Oppo K9 5G will be known on the day of its official launch.
