OPPO has officially announced the Reno8 T series in Nigeria, just as it has earlier announced. Devices in the series include the Reno8 T 4G and the Reno8 T 5G model. The duos have been around since February 1, and in this article, I will be focusing on all you should know about the two.

What are OPPO’s Reno8 T 4G, and the Reno8 T 5G All About?

For the record and as of writing, there are a total of Ten (10) smartphones in OPPO’s Reno8 series. Some of these models are available across multiple regions, while some are sold only in certain regions.

For example, the Reno8 and Reno8 Pro models sold in China are slightly different from those sold in the global market. Of these variations, the Reno8 T 4G and the Reno8 T 5G are the most recent of them all.

Reno8 T 5G

The Reno8 T 5G is based on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 5G 6nm CPU. This chipset has 8-core CPUs, clocked at 2.2GHz, and it is backed by Adreno 619 GPU. The model announced in Nigeria comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM.

It is based on Google Android 13 and ColorOS 13. The screen on the front is a 6.7-inches AMOLED display featuring 1080 x 2412 pixels, 950 peak brightness, 120Hz refresh as well as an Asahi Glass protection.

One major highlight of the Reno8 T 5G is the camera configuration. The device comes with three camera lenses on the rear that includes a 108-megapixel primary sensor, featuring f/1.7 aperture, along with 2MP 34mm microscope and a third 2MP depth sensor.

The device has a tiny dot-notch on the screen, and there is a 32-megapixel selfie lens within that space. It also comes with an under-display fingerprint scanner, and dual 4G/5G Nano-SIMs, while a 4800mah battery with 67W fast charger is available out of the box.

Reno8 T 4G

The Reno8 T 4G on the other hand, comes in a compact 6.43-inches FHD+ screen, with a side display notch on the front. The model is powered by the Helio G99 8-core CPU, has 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front, while offering Google Android 13 with ColorOS 13 out of the box.

The Reno8 T 4G also comes with a 100-megapixel main camera, and it takes advantage of Bluetooth 5.3, instead of the 5.1 on the 5G variant. This model has a full-fledged 5000mAh battery, but with a 33W fast charger. The model also comes with under display fingerprint scanner like its 5G counterpart.

Pricing and Availability

The Reno8 T 5G comes in Midnight Black, and Sunrise Gold colors, while the Reno8 T 4G model is available in Black Starlight, and Orange Sunset. As for pricing, OPPO is asking for N219,900 for the 4G model, while the 5G version will set you back at N289,900. Both models are already in sales in Nigeria.
