Realme has officially ticked February 16 for the arrival of her Realme 9 Pro series in India. This revelation was just made known by the company’s official India twitter page, tipping that the event will be stage at 1:30 PM, Indian times. The two smartphones expected in the launch will be the Realme 9 Pro, and the 9 Pro Plus.

Previous rumors have suggested that the standard 9 Pro will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 CPU, but the Pro Plus will reportedly rely on Dimensity 920 CPU from MediaTek. It was also confirmed today, that the Realme 9 Pro Plus will have flagship camera hardware.

The model will be given a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor with Auto PDAF and Optical Image stabilization (OIS), the same camera sensor used on the Reno 7 Pro.

As far as design goes, the Realme 9 Pro-series is said to feature Chameleon Light Shift design that changes color when exposed to sunlight. Note that this color changing technology was recently used on Vivo’s V23 Pro, and since Vivo, OPPO, Realme as well as OnePlus are all BBKs’, R&D expertise sharing should be expected.

Additionally, the Realme 9 Pro Plus has been confirmed to come with an under-display fingerprint scanner. This scanner can also track other stuffs like your heart rate, just like a standard fitness track would do. Also, the company said the standard pro version will come in a 7.99mm body, and this body is expected to house a 5000mAh battery with a 33W fast charger. More on the specs and pricing should be revealed on or before the 16th of February.
