Realme Q5 and Q5 Pro now official with Snapdragon CPUs and up to 80W fast charger

Realme have just announced the Q5 and Q5 Pro smartphone, and just like the title stated, both phones are powered by Qualcomm CPUs; Snapdragon 695 on the vanilla model, and Snapdragon 870 on the Pro version. Both are powered by Google Android 12 with Realme UI 3.0 out of the box.

Realme has fitted a 5000mAh battery power on both phone, but the only the Q5 Pro model is given a faster 80W Dart charger, while the the standard model is left with 60W charger. The Q5 Pro also come with a new unique Checkerboard rear design. Under this panel lies an 8-layer of three-dimensional cooling system, and the largest stainless steel VC, all aimed at keeping the phone as cool as possible during heavy usage.

Coming to their camera specs both phones has almost the same camera setup: 16MP selfie on both and a set of dual 2-megapixel depth and macro sensors on the rear pf both device. But their main camera sensors are very different; 50-megapixel shooter on the standard Q5, while the Q5 Pro is given a 64-megapixel lens with F/1.8 aperture on both sides.

Both phones are given up 6.6-inches screen with 1080 x 2400 pixels, and both have a sided notch on the front. Screen brightness level is notably higher on the Pro model though, touching as high as 1300 nits, as against the max 600 nits on the non Pro version. The Pro model also has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and the display panel is Samsung’s E4 AMOLED screen. 120Hz refresh is available on both phones though.

Realme Q5 and Q5 Pro pricing and availability

The standard Realme Q5 comes in Dusk, Phantom and Sunrise Blue, while the Pro model is available in Summer, Phantom and Snow White. Both of these models are priced as follows:

Preordering for these models in already ongoing in China, and both will be on full sales starting from April 27th. A discount of 100 yuan is available for early shoppers.
