It no longer news that the Realme X2 Pro is in the works, and set to go official anytime soon, hopefully, within the month of October. The company has in the past 4-days, released few keys specs and features of the upcoming device. Aside the official teasers released via the company’s official twitter page, they had also been few leaks and rumors from the company’s home country, in China.

In this post, I’ll be putting together ten of the official leaks and rumors we’ve seen so. While the official leaks are somewhat confirmed and authentic, you might want to take in the rumor leaks with a pinch of salt, pending when the device is released officially, which according to the company, will be SOON!

1. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus

Among the few official teasers, is the confirmation that the Realme X2 Pro will run the latest and upgraded Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus CPU. The Realme have not used Snapdragon 8XX, but as it is, the company will be making a jump to the highest and the latest of SD 8X-series.

Snapdragon 855 Plus is the higher version of the SD 855. The CPU has been used in few high-end smartphones like the Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro, the OnePlus 7T and even the Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro Exclusive Edition. The chip is a Octa-core 2.96 GHz CPU along Adreno 640 GPU, which Realme could pair with upto 8GB of RAM.

2. A 90Hz Fast and Smooth Display

It has also been officially confirmed by the company, the the Realme X2 Pro will come with a 90Hz fluid display. Wait a minute, what is this 90Hz display all about? To simply put, 90Hz is a measurement of a screen’s refresh rate. It determines how many times in a second a screen displays an image. For example a 30Hzscreen will display 30 frames per second, a 60Hz will show 60 frames per second and 90 Hz will show 90 frames per second and so on. Now the higher the frame rate displayed per each second determines how smoother and fluid the screen will be.

Some flagship devices like the OnePlus 7 Pro among others, have already adopted this display technology, and there are even more premium smartphones with above 90Hz display, like the Sharp Aqua Zero 2 with a massive 240Hz, launched in September 2019. But in a review conducted by Android Authority, higher display Hertz do have a toll on battery life, hence the Realme X2 Pro will come with option to switch between 90 or 60 hertz display.

3. 50W Super VOOC fast charging

The company has also confirmed that the X2 Pro will feature 50W Super VOOC Flash charging tech, which the company claimed can charge the device from 0 to 100% in just 35 minutes. While there was no any specific word on the actual battery size charged in the given marathon stats above, it could still be the only commercially available device filled from 0 to 100% in 35 seconds.

4. Audiophile? How about a dual stereo speakers on the Realme X2 Pro?

No, like seriously, how about dual stereo speakers on the X2 Pro? Great right? Well, the company has also confirmed that her upcoming device will have dual Stereo Speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio certification.

5. 64-megapixel is the primary camera sensor

The camera fun from the Realme 5 Pro and the Realme X2 will continue on the X2 Pro. The company confirmed that the new comer will also feature same 64-megapixel main camera sensor seen on the standard variant of the device.

The image above is a sample image captured with the main on the Realme X2 Pro, almost same sensor combinations used in the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, and the Samsung Galaxy A70s launched back in September 2019.

6. A Centralized Vertically Arranged Quad camera sensors

If your are familiar with the Realme 5 and 5 Pro, and even the standard Realme X2, you’ll notice that the Quad cameras are arranged to the left hand side of the device. On the Realme X2 Pro, the company has confirmed a slight shift in design; and will now maintain a more centralize placement of the rear camera sensors, something similar to the older Realme X.

7. 20X Hybrid Zoom Lens Now Added

It seems as if the camera placement won’t be the only thing seeing some changes; but also the camera modules. While the device will boost same quad camera sensors, the company will replace the macro lens with a telephoto lens, which will offer users with upto 20-times hybrid zoom. Among the four will also be a wide-angle lens with upto 115-degree wide wide range.

8. A 6.55-inch Samsung AMOLED Display with 20:9 aspect is rumored

A rumored screenshot shared on Chinese Weibo has also revealed that the Realme X2 Pro will come in a large 6.55-inch Full-HD+ display, with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution. The display technology is said to be source from Samsung, an AMOLED unit with 20:9 aspect ratio. This will come with in-display fingerprint scanner, like in the Realme XT.

9. NFC will be among the options

How about Near Field Communication, known as NFC, Do you need it? Unofficial sources has also mentioned the inclusion of NFC as one among the connectivity options on the X2 Pro.

Surely, you’ll be getting dual SIMs with 4G LTE network on both. But you better not look around for 5G Network, because, there won’t be 5G Network on the X2 Pro.

10. European launch is confirmed

While the Realme X2 Pro is expected to make it to India and other international markets, it seems the central target of Realme is the European countries. The device is confirmed to launch first in Spain, and be available to other European markets afterwards.

Wait a minute… Have mentioned battery capacity? How about storage options and most importantly, the software department? Well, we currently have no words on these, but we will surely get to know these sooner or later, either before the device go official, or when it does go official. You could also make your own contributions via the comment sections below, and of course, don’t forget to take all the specs above with a pinch of salt.
