Year upon year, and month upon months, Xiaomi’s interest in the African segment of her smartphone business keeps increasing. Before now, we are used to seeing Infinix and Tecno phones selling in Nigeria ahead of official announcement, but that has never happened with any Xiaomi or Redmi device, except for the Redmi 10C, which is now selling in Nigeria ahead of it official announcement.

Note that the spotted Redmi 10C-series has not been officially announced in Nigeria yet. Probably these are stocks sent ahead of official arrival of the phone, and some inpatient dealers are listing for sale ahead of green light from the company. But whichever case this may be, it only confirms the company’s growing interest in the region’s affordable smartphone markets.
