A couple of weeks back, the Redmi’s entry-level smartphone called the Redmi A1 was spotted on India’s BIS certification. The device maker later revealed some of its key specifications. All of these certifications hinted that the India launch of that device is imminent.
Well, on the 6th of September, we are getting Redmi A1 which is a new phone under a new series, and this series is going to include phones with a clean Android experience instead of Xiaomi’s MIUI. The phone runs on Android 12 Go Edition which is a lightweight version of Android 12 for phones with less RAM and processing power.
The device is equipped with a MediaTek Helio A22 chipset under the hood. Speaking of the memory, it was revealed that it has 2GB RAM with 32GB of internal storage.
In the design, it does not look that bad. There is a polycarbonate build with the back panel having a leather texture. The smartphone features a 6.5-inch display, and it is a TFT-IPS LCD with 720p resolution.
According to the tips, it is confirmed to be powered by a 5000mAh strong battery unit. The SIM port is on the left side, while the power and volume buttons are located on the right side.
The Redmi A1 device has no rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and it’s not yet clear to us whether will be embedded with the power button or not. The Redmi A1 smartphone is expected to be launched on the 6th of September, 2022. We will sure learn more details when it is finally released.
