When the Samsung Galaxy Tab A with S pen was released in 2019, it was released with the Android 9.0 OS. The tab was launched back in the first half of 2019 with the One UI of Android 9.0. It was upgraded to One UI 2.x of Android 10.0 in 2020. And now, in 2021, the South Korean smartphone giant Samsung is releasing another Android update for the Galaxy Tab A with S Pen that will run Android 11 with One UI Core 3.1.
A lot of Android version updates have been rolling out to eligible Samsung devices from the phone manufacturer since December 2020 and this Galaxy Tab update is one of many. Many of the eligible Samsung smartphones have been receiving the Android 11 Update and only a small number of budget Samsung gadgets are yet to.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A with S Pen is one of those few budget smartphones that are yet to receive the Android 11 update. But now, the device has just received the upgrade. Although as of today, only gadget users located in the Philippines and Chile have access to this update. More users from other regions are expected to receive this upgrade in the coming days.
For users that want to update manually, simply go to Settings> Software Update > Download> Install. The tablet is still eligible for more security upgrades in the future till 2023.
