Samsung launches it’s new rugged phone with an interesting features, the smartphone which is Galaxy XCover FieldPro comes with a rugged design and it is MIL-STD-810G certified, meaning that it can survive drops, shocks, vibrations, extreme temperatures, rain and blowing dust.

It is also a waterproof phone, it has an IP68 certified, this means it can resist water, it can go under 5Feet water for 30 minutes.

There is a dedicated physical push-to-talk and emergency request buttons that are programmed to send location data or alerts, it can also be used in adverse weather conditions or wearing gloves. It comes with a Samsung Knox security platform which is CJIS, HIPAA and FIPS compliant with an ergonomic rear fingerprint scanner.

For specs, it comes with a 5.1-inch QHD display with a screen resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. It is powered by the latest Exynos 9810 octa-core processor clocked at 2.7GHz, paired with a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 512GB via microSD card slot. It runs on Android Oreo, though it can be upgraded to Android 10.

Photography wise, it comes with a single rear camera which is a 12-megapixel rear camera with triple LED flash along with an 8-megapixel selfie shooter. 4500 mAh battery fuels the phone and it features POGO pin charging solution.

Connectivity options include: 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C port, GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, WiFi and POGO Pin. The phone measures 158.5 x 80.7 x 14.2mm and weighs 256 grams.
