Sharp has launched a new iteration of its user-friendly smartphone designed for older users in Japan, the Sharp Simple Sumaho 7. Building upon the success of the Simple Sumaho 6 released two years ago, this upgrade focuses on an improved camera and an updated software and applications.

The Simple Sumaho 7 caters to the needs of seniors with a simplified interface, physical buttons below the screen, and unique software features. One interesting addition is the ability to automatically enhance image clarity and use bolder colors on the display for better visibility.

It adheres to the IP68 standard, making it resistant to water and dust, and is even said to be washable with soap and alcohol wipes.
