The Tecno Camon CX and the Camon CX Air have been around since last year. But just this January, Tecno Mobility decided to add yet another variant of the camera centric Camon series duped the Tecno Camon CM. In this article, I will be comparing the Tecno Camon CM Vs Camon CX and Camon CX Air.

One important thing you must know about area where the Tecno Camon CM standout from other Camon series, is the fact that the Camon CM introduces an entirely different display aspect ratio to the Camon series. While older Camon series pack 16:9 aspect ratio, the Camon CM brings the new and trending 18:9 FullView display ratio to the stable.

As mentioned earlier, the major area of differences between the Camon CMore, the CX and the Camon CX Air is the display, especially the look and feel of the phone. But look deeper into the specs and features, and you’ll notice their areas of strength and weakness.

So I will not be going over those specs again, since the table above have all you need to know. However, I’ll try to answer one important question before I drop my pen on this article which is: Should I upgrade to Tecno Camon CM?

Should I upgrade to Tecno Camon CM?

Answer to the above question depends on many factors;

  1. Some persons buy new smartphones because they wants to taste something new, not really because of what it can do.
  2. Other persons would want a new smartphone because of it new facilities, specifications and features.

Now, if you already own the Camon CX, and you are in the first class of people, then you can get the Cmore. But note that I did not, and will not call that an upgrade. The reason being that, the Camon CM is on it own a downgrade to the Camon CX in everything.

Some persons will say to me, but MrDroid, what about the beautiful HD+ screen that allows you to C-more. Well, the Camon CM might allow you to C more as the company advertise, but the Camon CX actually allows you to see clearly and beautifully. The reason for this is the fact that the Full-HD panel on the CX is far better than the HD+ on the CM, because the CM only produce around 280 PPI, while the CX can push as far as 401 PPI, resulting in a better viewing pleasure than the CM.

If you are in the second category, please, just continue using your Tecno Camon CX. I’m trying to make this comparison as brief as possible, and that is the reason I don’t wont to talk about CPU or GPU. MT6750 on the CX is far better in everything than the MT6737H on the CM. Mali-T860 is also far better than Mali-T720. Not to mention the 3200mAh battery and other specs.

I’m currently working on the full review of the Tecno Camon CM, but see my first hand impressions here, and don’t forget to share your thoughts in the comment section below.
