Tecno Mobile has launched another smartphone in India dubbed the TECNO Spark Power. With power in it’s moniker, you can tell that it’s a beast. It comes with a whooping 6,000mAh battery capacity just like the Pouvoir 3 plus.
Pouvoir series from Tecno has always been known for their gigantic battery capacity, we are still confused why Tecno decided to ship bigger battery to the Spark series, you know this is the kind of smartphone that usually changes name when it arrives Africa. Who knows it might be the Pouvoir 4?
Specifications wise, it comes with a 6.35-inch 2.5D Curved Glass display with a resolution of 1548 x 720 pixels and a waterdrop notch housing the selfie camera. It has a very slim bezels and a thick chin, it must be on 90% screen to body ratio. The phone is powered by a Mediatek Helio P22 chipset which has an Octa-core processor paired with a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, there is an option to extend the storage up to 256GB.
Looking at the rear of the phone, it comes equipped with a triple cameras which is supported by a quad led flash for low light photography. The triple rear cameras consists of 13MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture, 8MP ultra wide camera and a 2MP macro lens. On the front side of things, you get a 13MP camera for selfies and video calls.
TECNO Spark Power runs on the latest HIOS 5.5 on top of Android 9.0 pie. The rear side of the device is made from a thick polycarbonate material and serves as a house for the fingerprint sensor. Aside using the fingerprint sensor for security, you can also make use of the face unlock feature but brands has always warned that it is not as secure as the fingerprint sensor.
The biggest selling point of this smartphone is the huge 6,000mAh battery capacity, the bad side though is that it doesn’t support fast charging. It can take up to 3hours to fully charge with the use of the 10W charger that comes with it out of the box. You have two color option to choose from which are Alpenglow Gold and Dawn Blue.
Connectivity options include dual nano-SIM 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v5.0 and GPS/A-GPS. The smartphone would be live on Flipkart starting from December 1st at a price of $119 which is about N42,000 in Nigeria.
