Infinix has started teasing the upcoming Infinix S5 on their social media wall, the company on their social media page posted a video of the Infinix S5 with the word “Infinix S5 is coming soon”. The post was actually made on Twitter and it has a caption which reads thus “Discover the next big thing in the viewing experience – Super Cinema Display is coming soon! #InfinixIndia #ComingSoon” As per the post, the upcoming Infinix S5 smartphone will have Super Cinema Display and will have Punch hole design.
Now after about an hour they made the post, a microsite for Infinix S5 surfaces on Flipkart which revealed some of it’s specs, launch date and even availability. As per the Microsite, the Infinix S5 will be launching in India on October 15th and it is expected to go on sale starting from 21 October.
The smartphone will have a 32-megapixel selfie camera, quad rear camera setup for Micro shots, Portrait shot, Wide-angle shots and Lowlight shots. Moreover, the S5 smartphone will have one variant- 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage and will be priced under Rs 10,000 which is about NGN 50,000 in Nigeria.
We reported that the device appeared on Play Console which reveals that it will come with an HD+ display which is a 720 by 1600 pixels and a DPI of 320. It is powered by MediaTek Helio P22 SoC which runs on Android 9.0 pie out of the box, the processor is also supported by a 4GB RAM.
