We do know that the next major smartphone to expect from Xiaomi is going to be the Redmi K50-series, apart from the Mix 5-series of course. Thankfully, today, we have a glimpse of what the design of the model will actually look like.
Unsurprisingly, the front of the phone looks very familiar; a very similar design to what we’ve seen on most recent Xiaomi phones. Where the major physical redesigning is happening though, is on the rear of the phone; the triple rear camera is now kept in a triangular shape, something similar to the recent Xiaomi Civi.
There is an inscription between the camera module and the LED module, showing that the primary snapper on the phone will be a 64-megapixel lens. This confirms a previous rumor that the K50 will have 64MP main + 13MP ultrawide + 2MP macro lenses respectively.
It also looks like this will be the final design of the Redmi K50-series, since Gizmochina also revealed a similarly designed transparent cases for the standard K50 and the K50 Pro model.
As for the innards, Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is expected, along with dual VC Liquid cooling system. The phone itself is said to come in a 6.67-inches screen, and will house a moderately sized 4700mAh battery with up to 120W fast charging. Android 12 with MIUI 13 is also expected out of the box.
