While Samsung owned Exynos-series of CPU is still struggling to get a voice in the world of semi-conductors currently dominated by Qualcomm, Mediatek, Huawei and Apple, there are few Chinese OEMs that still believes in the prowess of the Exynos-series, and vivo Mobile is one of them. Today vivo announced the Y70s in China, and surprisingly, the device is literately the first smartphone to run the all new Exynos 880 5G CPU.

The phone is available in Moon Shadow Black, Starlight Blue and Fog Mirror colors, has 5G network and priced at 1998 Yuan for the 6GB RAM version, while the 8GB RAM variant is priced at CNY 2,198, translating to $280 and $309 respective.

At the above price, you are getting a 6.53-inch display with 1080 x 2340 screen resolution. It is an IPS LCD panel, and has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio with 60Hz refresh rate and a punch hole notch, which help the device to achieve above 90% screen-to-body ratio.

The aforementioned Exynos CPU above is an octa-core chip clocked at 2.0GHz along with Mali-G76 MP5 GPU. The vivo Y70s runs on Google Android 10 underneath Funtouch v10 OS.

As for the optics, the phone has three cameras at the back and a single sensor upfront. The rear is a combination of 48-megapixel main sensor along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and 2-megapixel depth sensor, while the frontal snapper is a 16-megapixel selfie lens with f/2.0 aperture.

Powering the device is a 4500mAh battery with an 18W fast charging via  USB Type-C interface. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint reader, and come with 5G, dual-SIM 4G, Bluetooth 5.0 among other connectivity options.
