Tecno mobile has just announced the Camon 19-series in Nigeria. The models includes the vanilla Camon 19, Camon 19 Pro and the Camon 19 Pro 5G model. These three will be the direct successor to the retiring Camon 18-series.

As it has been the culture of Tecno, with every device comes a new ambassador. As a result, the company is roping in Tiwa Savage as the Camon 19 Ambassador in Nigeria.

All three device in the Camon 19-series are already available for purchase in Nigeria. Based on an earlier information we received, we had written an article detailing the expected pricing of the three smartphones in Nigeria. Thankfully, our source was not wrong. However, here are the official pricing of the Camon 19-series in Nigeria.

Starting from the base model, the standard Camon 19 is priced at N125,000. At this price, you are getting a 6.8-inches screen with a dot-notch on the front. This model is powered by the Helio G85 CPU from MediaTek, and it has 4GB RAM with 128-Gigs of ROM.

Next is the Camon 19 Pro (4G Model). This model is capped at N166,000 in Nigeria. It is given 8GB RAM with 256GB ROM, and powered by the MediaTek Helio G96 8-core CPU.

The display is the same 6.8-inches, but with better screen technology than the standard model; for instance, a 120Hz refresh is available on here. This model also seem to have the better camera setup of the three, since it has a dedicated 50-megapixel Portrait lens.

Then there is the Camon 19 Pro 5G, the first 5G smartphone under the Camon-series. This model is just N1,500 away from 200k; N198,500 to be precise. There are two key difference between this model and the 4G version. For the obvious, it has 5G network, and that is because the CPU is Dimensity 810.

The second difference worth mentioning is that this model does not have the dedicated 50-megapixel lens mentioned above, but there is a catch. Tecno has confirmed that the Camon 19 Pro 5G is getting Android 13 OS very soon, a teaser that may lure many towards the 5G direction, and moreover, it support 5G network.

Aside the above, the Camon 19 Pro 4G and the Pro 5G shares almost every other specs save for the frontal lenses; both are powered by a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charger, all three has a 64-megapixel main sensor, and all are powered by Google’s Android 12 with HiOS 8.6 out of the box.
