Ulefone, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has unveiled two new rugged smartphones, the Power Armor 18 Ultra and the Power Armor 18T Ultra. These devices, set to be available on Aliexpress starting from November 11th, are designed to cater to consumers who require sturdy and ruggedized mobile devices.
Ulefone Power Armor 18 Ultra
The Ulefone Power Armor 18 Ultra is equipped with a 6.58-inch FHD+ display with a high 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring a smooth and responsive user experience. It carries IP68/IP69K and MIL-STD-810 certifications, ensuring its resistance to dust, water, and rough handling.
Under the hood, the Power Armor 18 Ultra is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 5G CPU, Mali-G68 GPU, 12GB of RAM, and 512GB of internal storage, providing ample power and performance for even the most demanding tasks.
For photography, the Power Armor 18 Ultra features a triple-camera system with a 108-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 5-megapixel macro sensor. This setup enables users to capture high-quality images in a variety of lighting conditions and at different distances.
Powering the Power Armor 18 Ultra is a massive 9,600mAh non-removable battery, complemented by 66W wired and 15W wireless charging options. This ensures that users can stay connected and productive for extended periods of time, even in the most remote locations.
Ulefone Power Armor 18T Ultra
The Ulefone Power Armor 18T Ultra shares most of its specifications with its sibling, the Power Armor 18 Ultra. However, the primary difference between the two lies in their camera systems.
While the Power Armor 18 Ultra offers an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera, the Power Armor 18T Ultra comes with a dedicated FLIR thermal camera system in addition to the 108-megapixel main and 5-megapixel macro cameras. This enhances its night image capture capabilities, making it ideal for use in low-light and harsh environments.
In place of the thermal image sensor, the non-T model come with Infrared scanner, which can be used to read temperature without the need for a thermometer.
Pricing and Availability
Both the Ulefone Power Armor 18 Ultra and the Armor 18T Ultra should not be confused with their 2022 siblings; the Power Armor 18 and Armor 18T. The newcomers bring increased built-in storage (512GB, from 256GB), the latest Android 13 OS, up from Android 12, and the switch from Dimensity 900 5G to Dimensity 7050 5G CPU.
Both the Ulefone Power Armor 18 Ultra and Power Armor 18T Ultra will be available on Aliexpress starting from November 11th. The Power Armor 18 Ultra is priced at $283, while the Power Armor 18T Ultra is priced at $383.
