Unihertz Golden Eye announced with Dimensity 700 5G CPU and 12GB RAM

Unihertz has announced yet another new model called the Unihertz Golden Eye, also known as the TickTock-S Golden Eye. As the second name suggests, the device has a very similar specification the Unihertz TickTock-S which was announced in early February.

Not much is different between the two smartphones though. The only notable change is the removal of the secondary display on the rear of the TickTock-S, which is now replaced by an ultra large LED camp Lamp, something similar to the Unihertz Tank.

The Unihertz Golden Eye features the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, along with Mali G57 GPU, 8GB RAM and 256GB of permanent storage, though it does not support memory cards.

The smartphone comes in a 6.53 inches screen with a resolution of 1080×2340 and a pixel density of 395 ppi. It has a dotted notch on the from on which the frontal selfie camera is kept.

The phone’s camera setup includes a 32MP front-facing camera and a 64+2MP rear rear camera setup. The smartphone’s battery capacity is 5200mAh, and it is backed by a 30W fast charger.

Additionally, the device does support NFC, USB Type-C, dual-band Wi-Fi, and a sided fingerprint scanner. It is IP68 rate for dust and water resistance, while Google Android 12 is available out of the box.

The Unihertz Golden Eye is already listed on Aliexpress, and it is expected to be officially announced on March 20th, with sales starting soon after. The device’s recommended retail price is $269.99.
