Along with the X90 Pro, Vivo has also rolled out the vanilla X90 to the global market. Beginning its journey from the Malaysian market, the Dimensity 9200 powered device promises to be an affordable flagship device with all-around capable hardware.
Apart from being powered by the same SoC as its more expensive Pro variant, the vanilla X90 as comes with the same 6.78-inch AMOLED screen, rocking about 90% screen-to-body ratio. The display ticks almost all features found on the Pro model, including 120Hz, HDR10+, and up to a billion color output.
Where a major difference is sighted between the two models, is in the camera department. First, the 1″ Sony sensor used on the Pro and Pro+ is not available here; instead, you are getting a smaller Sony IMX866, which is also a 50-megapixel lens, but with a smaller 1/1.49″ sensor size.
Secondly, you are also getting a telephoto lens here as well, but the pixel count is downgraded to 12 megapixels. The third 12-megapixel UW lens and the frontal 32-megapixel shooter remain unchanged.
The storage option on the model includes an entry model with 8GB RAM + 128GB UFS 3.1 storage, although the model listed on the company’s Malaysian website has 12GB RAM along with 256GB UFS 4.0 ROM.
It is got a 4810mAh battery with the same 120W fast charger. The model support Reverse charging, but misses out on the 50W fast wireless charging found on the Pro models. It supports dual 5G SIMs and boots Google Android 13 with Funtouch OS 13 out of the box.
