Xiaomi Mi 8 SE is the third smartphone announced by Xiaomi today in China. This is actually the first time Xiaomi is launching a smartphone with an SE moniker. But not just that, the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE is the first smartphone to run the all new Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 CPU.
The Snapdragon 710 CPU is a brand new mobile platform processor from Qualcomm. The CPU is designed with the latest trending Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in mind. It is made up of a 2.2Ghz octa-core CPUs, along with Adreno 616 GPU.
As for the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE, the device features a 5.88-inch FHD+ AMOLED display from Samsung with a notch design and 86.12% screen-to-body ratio. Along with the aforementioned processor, you get 4/6GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage.
The smartphone runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) with MIUI 9. And if camera is your thing, then Xiaomi is offering you a 12-megapixel rear camera along with a 5-megapixel secondary rear camera to capture depth information for portrait shots with AI technology as well as intelligent scene detection. And just like the bigger brother Xiaomi Mi 8, the Mi 8 SE also has the same 20-megapixel front camera with AI portraits and AI beautification and uses pixel binning technology, combining the information from four pixels to create one large 2.0µm pixel.

The Xiaomi Mi 8 SE is available in Black, Blue, Red and Gold colors, and priced at 1,799 Yuan and 1,999 Yuan for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version and the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage version respectively, which translate to $280 and $312 respectively. The device will start selling in China from June 8th.
