The new variant of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G has been listed on Chinese Authority site called TENAA. It still keeps everything the standard vanilla Mi Mix 3 5G has, except for the storage aspect, that is, it’s only the storage aspect of the smartphone was changed.

It now comes in two variants, one with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage and the other one with 8GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage. TENAA listing also revealed that the new variant will be running on Android 10 with MIUI 11 slapped on top of it.

When the smartphone was released back in February this year, it came with only 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage but if you look at how mid-range smartphones of this days is boasting of 6GB of RAM, it doesn’t make the Mi Mix 3 5G to look like a flagship device anymore. So that’s why Xiaomi decided to introduce a new variant with higher storage, at least to maintain it’s flagship status.

The new variants still has a 6.39-inch OLED display with a 2340 x 1080 resolution. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 processor and has a 3,800mAh battery with QuickCharge 4+ support. It also supports 10W wireless charging. 24MP camera is on the front and the back houses a dual cameras consisting of 12MP + 12MP cameras.
