For a long time, Xiaomi has had it eyes set on the African smartphone market, with keen focus on Kenya and Nigeria. One of the most recent and most successful midrange flagship from Xiaomi, is the Redmi Note 7, which launched last January.

Usually, Xiaomi Smartphones officially get to Nigeria after 6+ months of existence in other countries. But it seems the company is turning things around, as it already has an event scheduled for April 24th which is dedicated to the launch of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 in Nigeria.

The Redmi Note 7 is available in both standard and Pro versions. Both device features a large 6.3-inch Full-HD+ display, with a dot notch Cut-out. In the heart, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, Adreno 512 GPU, 4000mAh battery with quick charge 3.0 and Android 9.0 (Pie) out of the box.

But while the standard version is got just 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, the Pro version has up to 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage with expandable storage options.

The major selling point of the Redmi 7, is the massive 48 + 5-megapixel main camera, which is able to shot video at 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution @30, 60 and 120 frame rate per seconds. It has a dual LED Flash at the back, while a single 13-megapixel shooter seats upfront.

The launch event will take place on Wednesday 24th, 2019. But since Xiaomi currently have no physical store in the country, interested folks might wanna keep their eyes on Jumia.
