Xiaomi Unveils Redmi Pad Pro: A Large, Affordable Tablet Option Redmi Pad Pro

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Pad Pro in China, just as it had promised. The device offers a large tablet experience at a mid-range price point.

It comes with a spacious 12-inch display with a 2560 x 1600 resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. While it features a traditional IPS panel instead of an AMOLED display, it’s still protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for added peace of mind.

Under the hood, the Redmi Pad Pro breaks new ground as the first tablet equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. This may not give you a flagship run, but it is solid enough for everyday use.

Storage options come in either 6GB or 8GB of RAM, paired with 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. Thankfully, there’s also a microSD card slot for those who may need more storage.

One of the Redmi Pad Pro’s strongest features is its battery life. Xiaomi was generous enough to hide a 10,000mAh battery under the hood of Redmi Pad Pro, which is also paired with a 33W fast changer.

While the camera system might not be its highlight, both the front and rear cameras offer a basic 8MP resolution.

It’s important to note that this initial release in China doesn’t include mobile internet support or, potentially, a GPS module. However, it does compensate with a quad-speaker setup for immersive audio.

The starting price for the Redmi Pad Pro in China is ¥1499 (approximately $207 USD) for the 6GB + 128GB version. Prices increase slightly for higher storage configurations.

For the Harry Potter fans out there, there’s a special edition Redmi Pad Pro featuring themed accessories and packaging. This limited edition comes with the 8GB + 256GB configuration and carries a price tag of ¥2299 (approximately $317 USD).

From history, we know the Redmi Pad Pro will later make it to other regions. But exactly when this will be is not known yet.
