Apple has just announced its latest iPhone, the iPhone 15. The vanilla model of the iPhone 15 comes with a number of upgrades over its predecessor, the iPhone 14.

One of the biggest changes is the new Dynamic Island display, which though present on the iPhone 14 Pro-series, was absent on the vanilla 14 of last year. Now, Dynamic Island is available across all four models of Apple’s 15 including the vanilla iPhone 15.

Also, the 6.1-inch compact display now has a better screen-to-body ratio, since the bezels on all four corners are more minimal. In addition to this, the phone is also now super brighter than its predecessor, since the brightness can not peak at 2000 nits, up from the 1200 nits of peak brightness on the older vanilla iPhone 14.

Moving on to the hardware. The iPhone 15 gets it processing power from Apple’s A16 Bionic chip, which is said to be up to 20% faster than the A15 Bionic chip in the iPhone 14.

In the camera department, the iPhone 15 now has a 48-megapixel main camera, up from the 12-megapixel camera on the iPhone 14, while retaining the same 13-megapixel ultrawide sensor. This camera setup brings a new Cinematic mode, which allows users to record videos with a shallow depth of field.
