Xiaomi announced the Redmi K50i few days ago with Dimensity 8100 5G CPU. But before then, the company had launched the 12s-series which includes the vanilla 12S, 12S Pro and the 12S Ultra. Now a report coming from China claims the company’s Redmi sub-brand and it K50-series will also have a higher end model dubbed Redmi K50 Ultra.
According to a Chinese renowned tipster (Digital Chat Station), Xiaomi is working on the Redmi K50 Ultra, and the device is going to be the most premium Redmi device of 2022 as per the claims. It will even offer specs notably better that what we saw on the K50 Gaming Edition.
Talking about specs, the upcoming Redmi K50 Ultra will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 flagship CPU, same Chipset used on the recent Xiaomi 12S Ultra, iQOO 10 Pro and many other recently released higher end smartphones.
In addition to the CPU, the K50 Ultra is expected to offer up to 120Hz refresh rating on it screen, and will rock a 50-megapixel main camera on the rear. It is also said that the phone will offer up to 120W fast charger, but the exact battery power is yet to be know.
Aside the K50 Ultra, Xiaomi may still have other series of smartphones on the way. One of these is the Redmi Note 12-series, which is believed to be the next major Redmi announcement for the year after the K50 Ultra.
Xiaomi 12S, 12S Pro, 12S Ultra and 12 Pro (Dimensity Edition)
Recall that Xiaomi announced a total of four smartphones few days ago. On the list of the event roaster was the Xiaomi 12S, the 12S Pro, the 12S Ultra and the Dimensity Edition of the standard Xiaomi 12 Pro announced in the close of December 2021.
Of these four devices, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra stands taller with it amazing camera hardware, the improved design and built quality. Also, the event marks the official partnership announcement between Xiaomi and Leica, and if all things are to be equal, the upcoming Redmi K50 Ultra might benefits from the same partnership.
