Coolpad has launched it’s budget device in India today and it will likely compete with other budget devices in the market such as the Redmi 8A, Realme 5 and Vivo U10.
This device is the successor of Coolpad Cool 3 which was launched earlier this year, it’s key features are the waterdrop notch style that it has, dual rear cameras and the Octa core processor.
The Coolpad Cool 5 is currently on sale on Amazon India, starting from Rs. 7,999 (~$113). Launch offers include exchange bonus up to Rs. 7,500 (~$105), no-cost EMI and 10 percent instant discount on SBI Debit and Credit cards. The smartphone is available in two color gradients, namely Midnight Blue and Gradient Blue.
Going to the specs, on the front, it has a 6.22-inch display, it’s an HD+ display which means it has a resolution of 720 by 1520 pixels, the device has a PPI of 270 and 19:9 aspect ratio. It’s an IPS LCD panel screen with 80.9% screen to body ratio.
Under the hood, it is powered by Mediatek MT6762 Helio P22 Chip which has an Octa core processor clocked at 2.0GHz, it runs on Android 9 pie and has powerVR GE8320 for graphics or gaming. The processor is also paired with a 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
In terms of camera, this device spot a dual rear cameras which are the 13mp camera accompanied by a led flash and 2mp depth sensor, on the front, it has a 16mp selfie shooter, both the front and back camera records video in 1080p at 30fps.
What is keeping the light on is a 4000mAh Li-Po battery which supports fast charging.
