The existence of the rumored Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite has just been confirmed by KDDI Okinawa Cellular in Japan. The device is currently tagged “to be released in the future”, hence, no single specification of it is listed online, although the device is said to be released after July 2020.

It has XIG01 as the model number, and will be a 5G enabled smartphone. What we still do not know however, is whether the upcoming Mi 10 Lite will have both 5G and 4G network variants, or Xiaomi wants to introduce just a 5G enabled variants of the phone like the standard Mi 10 and the Mi 10 Pro.

An earlier rumor have suggested that the Mi 10 Lite will spot a 6.4-inch FHD+ display, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G and will be backed by a 48-megapixel quad-camera setups. But since July 2020 is still about three months away, we should know more on the specs and features before then.

For reminder sake, Xiaomi released the Mi 10 and the Mi 10 Pro back in February 2020, both of which feature a 6.67-inch full HD+ AMOLED HDR+ display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, powered by a 2.84GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC with Adreno 650 GPU and runs on Android 10 based on MIUI 11 out of the box.
