Honor has unveiled the HONOR X8a 5G, a new smartphone featuring the Snapdragon 695 processor, a 6.5-inch HD+ display, a triple rear camera system, and a large 5000mAh battery. The model comes in the same body as the older Honor X8 5G but with improved specs.

Differentiating itself from the 4G variant of the HONOR X8a, the new 5G version is powered by the Snapdragon 695 octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz. Note that the 4G model has MediaTek Helio G88 instead. It comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The HONOR X8a 5G features a triple-camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel main camera with an aperture of f/1.8, along with a macro and depth sensor, capped at 2 megapixels with apertures of f/2.4 each. On the front, there is a single 8-megapixel front-facing camera with an aperture of f/2.0.

The phone is preloaded with Google Android 12 and Magic UI 6.1 out of the box. It comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, has a USB Type-C, and support dual 5G Nano-SIMs.

The battery power on Honor X8a 5G is capped at 5000mAh, and it supports 22.5W fast charging. It is available in Titanium Silver and Ocean Blue colors, and it is already listed on the company’s official Chile website. But the recommended retail price is not stated as of when this post was written.
