As promised, Infinix has officially announced the Hot S5 and the S5 Lite in Lagos, Nigeria, with pricing starting at N42,500 for the most basic Lite version, and going as high as N62,500 for the higher variants of the S5.
There are about four aspects of the S5 that makes it very unique and a worthy upgrade over the older Hot S4;
- Larger Screen: Unlike all previous alterations of the Hot S-series, the S5 brings the largest display till date; a homogeneous 6.6-inch IPS LCD display. The display has a 720 x 1600 pixels resolutions with 266 Pixels Per Inch (PPI) and around 81% screen to body ratio.
- Punch-hole Screen: All the variants of the S5 comes with a punch-hole screen, similar to what we saw on the Tecno Camon 12 Air. The display completely eliminates traditional overhead notch which usually houses the selfie camera, and keeps the selfie sensor just within the display.
- Camera now has 4-eyes: The Hot S5 comes with an all new four (4) camera sensors at the back. These includes a 16-megapixel main sensor with PDAF and f/1.8 aperture, 5-megapixel ultra-wide secondary sensor, a third 2-megapixel low-light sensor and the fourth 2-megapixel depth sensor. There is also a large 32-megapixel selfie camera. Note that this camera setup is only for the standard Hot S5, not the Lite version. The S5 Lite has only dual main sensors of 13MP + 2MP, and just 8MP selfie sensor.
- More Memory Options: The Hot S5 is available in 2-memory options as well as the S5 Lite. There is either 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM or 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM, while the Lite version has either 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM or 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM.

All the four options are available in Quetzal Cyan, Violet colors. The Infinix Hot S5 with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage will be available in Nigeria starting 12th of November 2019. The other three (3) variants will be available for purchase in the country starting from 19th of November.
