iTel mobile has officially introduced her A58-series of smartphone in Nigeria. The series includes the standard A58, and the A58 Pro. Both versions come in a 6.6-inches HD+ screen, and both has a notch on their head. This is actually the first time any model of iTel’s A-series is crossing above 6.1-inches.

It is worth noting also, that iTel’s A-series are the company’s basic smartphone lineups. Due to this, the A58 and A58 Pro are powered by a quad-core CPU; a UNISOC SC7731E SoC, clocked at 1.3GHz. This same CPU has been used on countless iTel phones, including the recent S17, with the downside being the absence of 4G network.

iTel is giving 1GB RAM with 16GB ROM to the standard A48, while the Pro model gets 2GB RAM along with 32GB ROM. But if either of these storage options is not enough for you, you can always attach an external SD-card up to the tone of 32-Gigabyte.

As for the camera department, both models are given dual lenses on the rear. I must say the design of the camera module looks so interesting that one would expect premium performance on first sight. But, sadly, the sensors behind those lenses are mediocre; a 5-megapixel primary shooter, along with an AI secondary depth sensor and a single LED flash.

Both the Pro and standard models are painted in Black, Purple and Green colors, and both has a fingerprint scanner on their rear. The iTel A58 and A58 Pro are booted by Android 11 (Go Edition) out of the box, and both has a 4000mAh battery on their inside. The models should go on sales this week, sadly we were not able to ascertain their price as at writing.
