iTel has taken to Twitter to announce the official launch of its anticipated device, the iTel P37 series. The series includes the iTel P37 and the iTel P37 Pro smartphones. This announcement was made via their official Nigerian account. In the post, they stated,” A lot of fun, power, and play is coming your way! For a while now, there have been speculations on the specs and features of these devices. The iTel P37 series is the successor to the iTel p36, which was launched last year and is the latest iTel budget smartphones. We’ll be discussing the specifications, features, availability, and prices of the iTel P37 and the iTel P37 Pro version.
The iTel P37 sports a 6.6 inches LCD display with a resolution of 1600 x 720 and a density of 270 PPI. This device is powered by a Spreadtrum UniSoC SC9863A chipset and an Octa-core (4×1.6 GHz Cortex-A55 CPU and 4×1.2 GHz Cortex-A55 CPU). The iTel P37 runs Android 10 straight out of the box and has a PowerVR GE8322 graphics processor.
In the camera area, the iTel P37 arrives with a triple rear camera setup with 13MP as the primary camera, 2MP+0.3MP lens. At the front, the smartphone has an 8MP selfie camera. The device also has an LED flashlight mounted at the back.
This smartphone is powered by a 4000mAh Li-ion battery and will arrive with 4G LTE connectivity straight out of the box. It will be available in 2GB/32GB and 3GB/64GB variants with a 128GB microSD card for expansion.
On the other hand, the iTel P37 Pro version has a 6.8-inches IPS screen with 720 x 1640 pixels resolution along with a dewdrop seated above the display. This shows that this device has a larger display than the P37 counterpart. Under the hood of this smartphone, it is powered by an octa-core 1.6GHz UNISOC SC9863A CPU pegged with PowerVR GE8322 GPU.
The iTel P37 Pro model has 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage for expansion. This model has a dual rear camera setup with a 13MP primary camera and a secondary AI sensor in the camera area. At the front, this smartphone has an 8MP selfie camera housed in a waterdrop notch, unlike the punch-hole in P37.
This P37 Pro model also has a 5000 mAh battery capacity more extensive than the one in the iTel P37 variant. It has a dual Nano-SIM card with 4G LTE network and Google Andriod 10 9Go Edition) straight out of the box. At the rear of the iTel P37 pro variant is also a fingerprint scanner. The differences between the iTel P37 and the iTel P37 Pro version lies in the battery capacity, camera resolution, display.
The iTel P37 is priced from NGN. 35,000 for 2GB/32GB and to NGN. 45,000 for 3GB/64GB (75 to 95 USD). The P37 Pro model is priced at about NGN. 45,000 (95USD). The tech company stated that the official launch event will be taking place online via Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube at 8:30 PM in the Twitter post. It will also be broadcast across National TV.
