Microsoft Ends Support for Windows 10 21H2 Enterprise, Education, and IoT Editions

Microsoft has updated its support documentation to inform users that it will automatically initiate a feature update for the affected Windows 10 users

Microsoft has officially ended support for Windows 10 21H2 Enterprise Edition, Education Edition, and IoT Enterprise Edition as of June 11, 2024. The final security update for these versions was released on the same date.

It’s important to note that support for Windows 10 21H2 Home, Professional, Professional Education, and Professional Workstation editions ended earlier, in June 2023. However, users of the Enterprise LTSC 2021 and IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 editions will continue to receive support until January 12, 2027. Additionally, IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 will have extended update services available until January 13, 2032.

All users on Windows 10 21H2 will be automatic Ulupdate to version 22H2:

Microsoft has updated its support documentation to inform users that it will automatically initiate a feature update for the affected Windows 10 users, upgrading them to version 22H2.

As always, Microsoft also recommends that eligible devices upgrade to Windows 11 for the latest features and support.

As of June 11, 2024, Windows 10, version 21H2 for Enterprise, Education, and IoT Enterprise has reached end of service. The June 2024 security update released on June 11, 2024 is the last update available for this version. After this date, devices running this version will no longer receive monthly security and preview updates that contain protection from the latest security threats.
