There are speculations that the next generation MIUI 13 custom ROM will be released in the second quarter of this year. According to MyDrivers, the source is saying that this release will be on Friday, 25th of June.
Recently, Xiaomi released MIUI 12.5 Stable version. The tech company is yet to push this update to all eligible models. Xiaomi disclosed that the MIUI 12.5 is akin to a significant OTA upgrade. However, Mi fans are already anticipating the MIUI 13 release and are expect Xiaomi to roll out the MIUI 13 update as soon as possible.
On the MIUI 13 custom ROM features, the source didn’t release information of what the MIUI 13 custom ROM will arrive with. However, we expect significant enhancements in privacy, fluency, Negative One-screen, animation effects, lock screen, main interface.
The downside to all these may be the rumors that Xiaomi won’t provide MIUI 13 updates for some of its fairly old models. Models like; the Redmi Note 8 series, Redmi 8 series, the 2019 Mi 9 series, and Mi MIX 3.
This upcoming update is said to be available for the Mi 9 SE, which will be among the first batch of device models to get this update. We also expect the Mi MIX 2S and Mi 8 series to be upgraded to MIUI 12.5 anytime soon.
We are, however, not sure if these models will see the official MIUI 13 ROM, and the tech makers are yet to reveal any information on the release of the MIUI 13.
