Motorola has confirmed the launch of its next budget Android phone, the Moto G14. The device will debut in India on August 1st, and it will be tagged “Hatke Style, Hatke Entertainment”.
This should probably refer to the device’s 6.5-inch FHD+ display and its stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.
On the inside, the Moto G14 will be powered by the Unisoc T616 SoC, which is a slight downgrade from the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC in the Moto G13.
However, the phone will still have 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and it will run on Android 13 out of the box.
Motorola has also confirmed that the Moto G14 will receive an update up to Android 14 and an extended three years of security updates.
On the back of the phone will be a 50MP main camera with night vision support, along with a macro camera. The Moto G14 will also have a 5000mAh battery with support for 20W fast charging.
Like its predecessor, the G14 will be IP52 rated for both dust and splash resistance, and it will come with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner as well.
The Moto G14 will be available in blue and gray colors, and the price will be announced on August 1st. The phone will be sold exclusively on Indian Flipkart.
The Moto G14 looks like a promising device given its key specs. But we’ll have to wait until August 1st to find out the price and every other features the G14 may offer over its predecessor, the Moto G13.
