OnePlus has started rolling out the OxygenOS 15.0.0.840 update for its foldable phone, the OnePlus Open. The new version, CPH2551_15.0.0.840(EX01), is currently being released in India, with other regions expected to receive it soon.
New Features
The update brings several new additions, including enhancements to the Mind Space app, which can now save what’s on your screen as memories. It also organizes and summarizes saved content automatically.
The camera gets some notable upgrades too. There’s now a soft light filter available in both Portrait and Photo modes for improved image quality. The Photos app introduces AI Perfect Shot, which combines the best facial expressions from multiple photos into one. You can now also edit videos and live photos, convert videos into live photos, or save still frames as high-resolution images. Another new feature allows you to hide specific albums from the app’s main page.
The Clock app has been improved with an alarm that starts off quiet and gradually becomes louder. The Recorder app now lets users customize groupings and introduces a new “In-person recordings” category that organizes files based on the recording mode used.
System Changes
The update also focuses on system-level improvements. A new “Temporarily block” option helps reduce distractions while gaming or watching videos by preventing banner notifications from appearing. Multi-screen control has been enhanced, making it possible to use full-screen and floating window apps at the same time.
Both OnePlus Sans and One Sans fonts now support additional languages. A new Restart shortcut has been added to Quick Settings. Mini windows are now easier to reposition, and a previous issue with window display location has been resolved.
Security and Rollout
The latest update also includes the July 2025 Android security patch.
As usual, OnePlus is rolling out the update gradually, starting with a limited number of users. Those in India can report any issues through the OnePlus Community App or by dialing *#800# to access the feedback tool.
