Oppo is preparing to add another model to its tablet portfolio with the launch of the Oppo Pad 5. The company has now officially announced that the device will make its debut next month. Earlier this year, the Oppo Pad 4 Pro arrived in China with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, and now a new flagship successor is on the way.
Oppo Pad 5 launch timeline and early details
The announcement was made through a short teaser clip, giving us a first look at the Oppo Pad 5 in action. From the preview, it is clear Oppo is positioning this tablet as a strong contender for both entertainment and productivity. The video shows it smoothly running multiple apps at once and highlighting its large display, perfect for streaming and professional use.
This time, Oppo is shifting gears on performance by moving away from Qualcomm chips and adopting MediaTek’s flagship platform. While the teaser doesn’t reveal the full hardware list, earlier leaks suggest that the Pad 5 could arrive with the Dimensity 9400+ chipset. It is also rumored to feature a 12.1-inch LCD screen with a sharp 3K resolution and support for a fast 144Hz refresh rate. Powering the device may be a 10,300mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.
The tablet is expected to come in several memory and storage variants, including 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 16GB + 512GB. Oppo is also said to be offering the Pad 5 in multiple finishes such as Purple, Silver, and Gray. The official launch is scheduled for October 16, 2025, where it will be unveiled alongside the brand’s flagship Oppo Find X9 lineup.
