A new entry-level Oppo smartphone has appeared on China’s MIIT database, hinting that the company may soon unveil a device with an unusually large battery. Listed under the model number PLT120, the phone has also secured wireless approval with certificate number 2025-21820, which often signals that an official launch is getting close.

The exact name this model will carry at launch is still unknown, but here’s what the certification reveals.

Oppo PLT120 Specs as Seen on MIIT

The PLT120 is equipped with a 6.75 inch screen that delivers an HD Plus resolution of 1570 by 720, which strongly suggests it is using an LCD panel. It features a sizeable footprint at 166.6 by 78.5 by 8.61 mm and weighs 216 grams.

The weight likely comes from its large battery. The phone includes a rated capacity of 6830 mAh, which Oppo will almost certainly promote as a 7000 mAh unit.

Inside, the device runs on a 2.4 GHz octa core processor. While MIIT listings don’t specify the chipset, this setup points toward a midrange 5G capable processor. Oppo appears to be offering solid memory configurations, with options of 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM paired with 128 GB or 512 GB of storage.

Connectivity is fully covered with support for dual SIM, 5G in both NSA and SA modes, LTE, WCDMA, GSM, Bluetooth, and USB.

For photography, the PLT120 features a straightforward setup. On the back, there is a 50 MP main camera supported by a 2 MP secondary sensor, while the front has an 8 MP camera for selfies.

The phone includes fingerprint and face unlock options along with common sensors such as gravity, proximity, and ambient light. It runs Android, though the version isn’t specified, but it will likely ship with ColorOS based on Android 15.
