Xiaomi appears to have accidentally revealed its upcoming budget smartphone earlier than expected. The Poco C81 Pro was briefly published on the company’s global website before it was pulled down, but not before key specifications were seen and shared.
Based on the information that surfaced, the device looks like a simple entry level smartphone. It is mainly designed to cover the essentials, offering a large display, solid battery life, and enough power for everyday tasks.
On the front, it features a 6.9 inch LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and HD+ resolution. The brightness goes up to around 800 nits, which should make it usable in outdoor conditions without much difficulty.
Powering the device is the Unisoc T7250 processor, which is aimed at basic performance needs. It should handle everyday activities like web browsing, messaging, online payments, and social media usage without issues. The phone supports 4G connectivity only, which may not appeal to users looking for 5G. It is expected to come with 4GB of RAM, while storage options may reach up to 256GB, along with support for expandable storage through microSD.
For cameras, the setup is quite simple. There is a 13MP rear camera for main shots and an 8MP front camera for selfies. The system does not include additional lenses or advanced camera features, sticking strictly to the basics.
The battery is one of the stronger points of the device. It packs a 6000mAh capacity, which should easily last through a full day or more depending on usage patterns. However, charging speed is limited to 15W, meaning it will take some time to fully recharge.
Additional features include a side mounted fingerprint sensor, dual SIM functionality, and what is likely a lightweight version of HyperOS, possibly based on Android Go. Overall, the phone is clearly positioned as a budget friendly option meant to handle everyday smartphone needs with ease.
Although the listing has been removed, nothing has been officially confirmed yet. However, the specifications strongly suggest it could be a rebranded version of the Redmi A7 Pro 4G, which was recently launched globally.
