Just as promise, Tecno mobile has officially introduced the POVA 5G smartphone in India with Dimensity 900 5G CPU from MediaTek. The device has 8GB RAM, expandable up to 11GB via Tecno’s Memory Fusion, and promoted at Rs. 19,999 price tag, along with a free powerbank.
The POVA 5G comes in a 6.9-inch Full-HD+ LCD screen with 120Hz refresh rate. It is preloaded with Tecno’s latest Panther Gaming Engine 2.0, the same engine used on the POVA Neo. Gaming itself on a smartphone can be a nightmare without good battery power. As such, the phone packs a 6000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support that can charge up to 50% in 33 minutes.
Three camera lenses are used on the rear of the phone. These includes a 50MP main shooter, 2MP macro and a third AI depth lens, while a 16-megapixel selfie snapper seats on the front. The main snapper is capable of 4K Time-lapse and up to 960fps slow motion video recording.
India is the third largest 5G smartphone market globally as per Counterpoint and there’s a lot of pent-up demand for 5G. In view of the market potential, the launch of POVA 5G is a part of TECNO’s growth strategy. It will start selling beginning the 14th of February via Amazon.in at an introductory price of Rs. 19,999, with a free Power Bank for the first 1500 buyers.
